Gift wrapping

I love the holiday season because I have a reason to wrap all the presents in pretty paper. It's fun to wrap presents during the year too, but Christmas is more fun when there are coordinating papers under the tree! Gift wrapping, much like card writing is a dying trend, but I love it. When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a professional gift wrapper. Growing up in San Francisio, I saw the ladies at Macy's Union Square wrap presents in a professional and confident manner. That is what I aspired to be. Now, I am all grown up and I still love paper and gift wrapping. At Eemiaj Cards, just let me know you would like your card sets wrapped and I will wrap your box of cards FREE of charge. Who doesn't like to unwrap a pretty little paper treat anyway?

Classic Wedding

One of my favorite things to do is design invitations from nothing. When Dayna and Paul came over for a consultation, all they knew was that they wanted a black and white wedding. I've known Paul for a long time and in getting to know Dayna, knew she would like something very classy but elegant...something timeless. This is what I came up with -

I used an ice stardream heavy cardstock for the body of the card and the new black and white collection from Creative Memories as the background. You can see just a hint of the black and white designs in the background without it being too harsh on the eye. Then I produced a fitted swirl to the cover and made flower embellishments bloom on the card. You can see that I continued the concept with the place cards so wedding guests will recognize a familiar theme.

Cocoa Sunburst

I made this card by accident. Some days, I feel the urge to make new cards and try new things. I strayed away from my traditional square designs and went quite the opposite direction. I stamped the sunburst using a chalk stamp pad creating the distressed look, but the sunburst out and mounted it onto the layered card. I like mounting objects, especially when it helps to draw attention such as in this case. Stay tuned for my new website launch as well as an etsy store tour!
